Welcome to the Survival Research Network. This site is dedicated to the impartial and critical scientific evaluation of reported phenomena suggesting the continuity of human consciousness after bodily death (for a more precise definition of what we mean by survival of death, see Introduction).
We hold no corporate view on the subject other than the belief in the philosophical, scientific, ethical and thus social significance a solution of the survival problem would possibly have. We believe that survival research, hitherto neglected by mainstream sciences, has valuable potentials for advancing our current understanding of human consciousness (find out Who We Are).
The main purpose of this site is to provide information about the range and quality of the scientific survival research literature from the 1880s to date (for some initial impressions visit our virtual Library). Furthermore, we hope to attract individuals sympathetic with the standards of survival research as outlined in the Introduction, in order to exchange ideas about possible research projects, and to advance survival research scientifically and politically.
